I had no idea that such a thing existed, and I bet most of you didn’t either. The U.S. Army has an assignment for potential Olympians. If you are an Olympic caliber athlete, you can join the Army and be assigned to the World Class Athlete Program. The Army will then pay you, train you, and house you. And they have a pretty good record of qualifying Olympians, as well.

hello,Jill Manty.
i am a senior student in China. i read about your story in my english exam. there’s a text about your store with blog on my exam paper.
there is a question.
Jill Manty became interested in blogging because______
A.her husband persuaded her repeatedly.
B.her love of sports led her to this new business.
C.she was interested in organic baby business.
D.she was inspired by the money-making idea.
can you tell me which you think is the best answer?
I assume the article you were sent was one that was posted on Problogger. The funny thing is that I find the question difficult to answer because my initial blog was started for a different reason than I have continued to blog. So, is the question about my very first blog effort? Or is it about my Olympics blogs?
Here are the two paragraphs you need to look at:
My husband convinced me to start a blog related to my organic baby business. He had been interested in blogging for over a year and had been trying to get me interested for most of that time. I kind of felt like it was a waste of time and didn’t really see the potential for profit.
Contrary to popular advice, you do not have to love what you’re writing about. It does need to be something that you can be excited about, but it doesn’t have to be your first love. Prior to this Olympics, I hadn’t even watched the last two (or more) Olympics. But the more I read about the Olympics, the more interested and excited I was. I started the blog because I thought it would be profitable. I continued it because it was profitable. I will continue to write on it because, along the way, I became interested.
the text on my my english paper is the article posted on Problogger.
