I just want to say to Debbie Phelps that reading her story about raising an ADHD child has given me hope for my own son who also has ADHD and takes Ridalin for it.I am also a single mother of 3 children and watching Michael with her during the Olympics reminds me of my son Daniel. Daniel now looks up to Michael because like Michael Daniel is also a skinny boy with big ears and also has to go to the nurses office at lunch time to take medication. There is one difference however and that is that I’m glad to say Daniel is not teased for his condition. I just hope that Daniel is at least half the man that Michael has turned out to be. I know Debbie most likely won’t read this but I just want her to know that she is now someone I look up to and she did a great job as a single mother.

Debbie Phelps is an inspiration. I would nominate her for mother of the year.
